Now it is a case like Weinstein I guess.
The mexican actor Cavazos said "It seems that it only took a male under 30 to make Mr Spacey feel free to touch us.” You can't translate that into "children". Netflix doesn't employ children (at least I hope) and the barkeeper, whom Spacey showed his cock was most likely an adult too.
In some states the USA like Colorado you can become a "sexual offender" at the age of 10 (where is the moratorium for an undisturbed development there?) but in other cirstances you're suddenly a "child" till 30.
Short spans are indeed a problem in cases of abuse.
In Germany the span (Frist) is 30 years and it starts, when the victim turns 30, so if you are a victim you can go to the police till you're 60 years old. That was a reform in 2015 and a very necessary one, although after 50 years the investigations are a problem. But that can be a model for legislation.
That sounds reasonable, there can also be quite a lack of empathy.
Fortunately for Kevin Spacey, the potentially criminal allegations are very old. As is usually the case with children who are pressed for sexual favors, the truth does not become public until they are many years into the their adult lives and are both able to process what happened and in a place where they feel safe enough to tell their stories.

So, the statute of limitations has long passed and no criminal prosecution is possible. That's the good news for Mr. Spacey.
The bad news is that with no court cases to refute allegations, they are all just going to sit there as part of his permanent public record.

ritsuka said:Anthony Rapp wasn't attracted to and didn't make a pass at Kevin Spacey, nor did the many others who he sexually assaulted. KS obviously got off on the power play, on his ability to take advantage of those who are vulnerable and 'beneath him,' when he could have used the same wealth and prestige to get himself willing, consensual partners who were of age. That is how a predator functions.
