Lets just set up a time capsule. And when Mitt the liar loses, we can 'indulge' ourselves in the idle indulgence of contemplating what positive physical traits were inherited from the Robot. In the meanwhile....

Although, considering the mindset of all involved, even an election would not limit the damage. Efforts are underway across the country to reverse gains made in favor of Gay Rights. Iowa and Washington state, for example, are under assault from religious organizations. The battle for Gay Rights isn't past the first quarter. Those 'boys' would throw you under a bus. And sleep like babies, content in their belief they've done God's work for the day.

The easiest way to put an end to interference from religious groups is to counter with a campaign proposing removal of their tax exempt status.

If they want to play the political game, then they have to pay, otherwise butt the fuck out...

one of two things would happen...

1. They shut their mouths to keep their money
or
2. All their resources are exhausted fighting the tax man...

Either way, it's a win-win...

The money disparity does not seem to be a decisive factor at the presidential level. Both sides seem to have enough to get the message out.
But at the state level, I think we are in a cycle where monied interests are able to overwhelm the other side, and effectively buy state government.

GOProud Republicans still amaze me. Even if you're rich and concerned about obtaining tax cuts, how can you vote for a party that continues to metaphorically force you to sit in the back of the bus? It does and will continue to baffle me.

Although my gayness gravitates me toward the Democrats (I was definitely a Hillary supporter, though), my real big issue is education. Republicans want to implement a voucher system for education - giving parents the option to take their public dollars and place their kids into private schools if the public schools are failing them. If a voucher system is implemented, the entirety of public schools will literally fall. Republicans want to literally privatize education...and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize how much inequality that will lead to (rich kids in the good private schools and the poor kids in the horrible semi-subsidized private/charter schools). We need more funding for education - not a sneaky way to privatization. That would do away with Obama's dream of equal opportunity, which I fully support.

Also, I'm a huge feminist. How the hell does ANY party in freakin' 2012 go around thinking it's okay to tell women that they SHOULD NOT have reproductive rights (access to birth control) and that they should not be allowed to choose whether or not they wish to terminate a pregnancy even in cases of rape or incest? Are we in f**king medieval times? I know Romney is not as coockoo for cocoa puffs and is just appealing to the strange extremists in the party, but I can't vote for a man that endorses harmful and hypocritical polices. They don't want women to have access to birth control, but when they have too many kids (because of this lack of access and because they try to make it impossible for women to get abortions) they bitch and moan about how much they have to pay for welfare? You don't want welfare babies? Then give women PROPER and unrestricted access to contraceptive and contraceptive education! It's as easy as that!

Hear hear!

They did the voucher thing in Sweden and the result is substandard education in the private schools but parents keep putting their children in them because it sounds fancier. In reality because the purpose of the private schools is to make money for the shareholders, no risks involved, the private schools use less money on the teaching, students and the school environment than state schools.

I am quite sure, Ben, that America will not vote Romney in.
Unfortunatly there is a risk that she may allow Barack Obama to be voted out.
It's all down to turnout. The party that exists for the benefit of the rich minority has a better chance of winning when turnout is low, and the party that wants to help the other 99% is helped by a high turnout. That must be the case if voters understand what is in their own best interest. If the right wing party can encourage apathy amongst the poor majority that is the way they can win even with The Willard, a candidate that nobody likes.

"What does it matter?" is a vote for the anti gay party.
"They're all the same" is a vote for the anti gay party.
"None of the above" is a vote for the anti gay party.

Romney was pretty sharp in the last debate. This could be a close call.

Obama did look a little worn out and exhausted whereas Romney had a lot of drive an energy. I have to say I'm usually swayed more by arguments but he did seem as if he could inject something much needed into the economy. Obama needs to get a little of his fire and passion back.

OKAY OKAY OKAY So I was at the first presidential debate live at Denver University (okay well not inside the arena but I was at debate fest which was limited to 5000 people right outside the arena. Listen Romney is an idiot. His tax plan is all over the place. How ever he plans to pay for it the top 1% will still be getting a tax cut and that's just wrong. Don't get me started on the budget. Look sometime you have to spend a little make a lot. He may have spent a fair bit but he's made real change with healthcare saved the auto industry. Let me mention this though Bush bailed out the banks but didn't make them pay it back. Obama charged the auto industry something like 18% interest and they paid it all back. I'm gonna state this here because its an electoral subject even though I wrote that post in another thread. Abortion boils down to one thing and that's that your opinion doesn't matter. Let me explain you may be pro life or pro choice but it doesn't matter because OTHER people don't see it the same way you do. My opinions aren't relevant I don't speak for the world. Everyone speaks for themselves. You may think having an abortion is wrong but that's YOUR opinion let me say that again YOUR opinion. I may or may not think it's right but I have to let other people CHOOSE for themselves what they think is best for them not for you or anyone else but them. That's all I'm gonna say on the subject.

Obama still has the electoral votes and has a very high chance of winning the election. But Romney's gaining some popular votes since that debate.

Sorry but there are more pressing issues than gay marriage right now. We still need to get the economy moving. People are literally starving in these so called first world countries
