Yesterday I saw a movie called Eagle Eye. Its about a super secret computer or system that Pentagon have. A super computer that can do many stuff like controlling every electronic that connect with not just internet system but also satellites. A super computer that they use it to detect a suspicious activities that had something to do with criminal or even terrorists. Is that super computer really exist? Then lets take the probabilities that they really have, and lets take a look about this case, a movie called 'Innocence of Moslem' that cause a massive uproar in many Islamic country. What I dont get it is that, when Obama talk about it on UN, he said that they cant do anything to stop the spreading of the movie in the Internet. I mean, if they got a technology like that, I'm sure he can stop the spread before its too late like this right? They should have know and predicted if a movie like this spread through YouTube it gonna make massive uproar and in the end...

America take the consequences. Many country look at Obama's government as a failure to take a quick response, they saw that Obama's government neglected this case. And you all can see the response from the Moslem, set a big demonstration, attacking America foreign department in every city, vandalism on America franchise restaurant, and many things. Then dont forget about a cartoon of Apostle Muhammad SAW.
This is not about a free of expression, this is a humiliation and insulting a religion. I know well that sometimes some people doing bad things in the name of a religion (like terrorists who do a jihad. Truly they mistakenly take the true meaning of jihad.) but this stuff (the videos) like generalized all Moslem like that. We are not like that. Hmm...a little bit out of track.
Oh well, what do you think? Does Obama's government seems to neglected this case? Even they already act, they late.

I do not know if exist a super computer (maybe you).
It is certain that to follow this activity there is an agency in the U.S., with an incredible waste of human effort and financial resources, which controls all communication in the world (telephone conversations, mail, etc.).

I say world, not only countries and Muslim populations.

A few years ago, the European Parliament protested this interference, to protect the privacy of European citizens, but the protest remained a dead letter.

With regard to the sad story of disorders resulting from the Film of Muhammad, well, I think Obama or any other Western statesman has no power to intervene.

What the Arab culture or rather the Muslim does not want to accept of our laws, is the freedom of expression, it may seem cynical or disrespectful, but it is an essential bulwark of democracy.

If this was illegal, any person can go to court, even a single person, and the court may order the interruption of the video and the seizure of the offending material.

These sad events are not a failure of American freedoms but a failure of Islamic tolerance.

If someone disgrace or humiliating what you believe or religion you believe, in a most dishonour way, will you still tolerate it or even let it go just like it never happened?
There's a line between to act tolerance and not. And I guess this is intolerable. I heard that there's an law about how to express something without dishonour other community or even a religion. The easiest way to think of it is about gays and lesbians. Will you still tolerate people act when they talk nasty stuff about gays and lesbians in front of you? About the court, well the police already arrest people who make this movie and upload it on YouTube. The States also had banned the video from YouTube, but still, since its kinda late, many people who sees this is like a joke or so, are still uploading it on the Internet. The UN also have a high reaction about this, but still, what have been done cant be stopped.

I don't belive such a computer exists either (but will look for he movie, harhar ). I love youtube, esp. the comments. A lot of people believe in conspiarcy-theories and think their government (which often is the U.S. gov.) is capable of everything.

But truth is, if you remember Blair and Bush: They are not even capable of faking some weapons of mass destructions, if they need without people finding out easily.

I haven't seen the film in question (I o t M) yet, before that I cannot say much.

Do you remember 9/11 incident? Have you heard the new theory about the incident? From the news I heard, US (especially Pentagon and military department. Imo) had predict that the terrorists will make an massive incident. They also had pint point where the incident gonna happen, the terrorists, even what plane they gonna use to doing that horrible and unforgettable things. Question is how did they know and why they seems to let it happened? Although it takes a lot of casualties and victims.

I've heard that the secret service and officials of the States had some kind of information several years ago. But I guess they just didn't take it seriously and thought it to be too massive to be true. The bigger the organization, the bigger the incompetence.

Sadly it is. Then again, American pays taxes to that department hoping that their country will safe and sound. How ironic.

Then what you think? If that technology exist (well not that high but still a pretty decent technology that can do thing like that. I believe the got something like that) isnt really off to let those thing happened?

American laws and culture put a very high value on personal expression and freedom. The government does not have the right to stop expression, except in very limited situations.

Many people think that because it was allowed, it must express the "American" viewpoint. That's just not the case. We allow many fringe viewpoints to be heard. They only represent their own crazy selves.

Eavesdropping or by electronic means to delve “not yet publicly expressed thoughts” does so infringe the freedom of expression. However, the control of thoughts for the sake of national security is found desirable in almost all countries (also the ' free West '), and the technique to gather information offers more and more possibilities.
Freedom seems to be a strange concept.
