Quick question... all of a sudden I'm noticing "Duet" as a category on gay porn video clip sites. What is Duet? I can't tell by looking at the clips and I Googled it to no avail.

Am I overthinking it, and it literally refers to nothing more specific than "two people"? Seems pointless/superfluous to have a separate category if that's the case...

Anyone have the answer?

I don't watch a lot of porn, but I've never come across that category. Sounds rather silly. It would be a bit like having a separate category for "Fucking".

I think Duet is suppose to be 2 actors who are known to be in a relationship.

That sounds like such a lovely explaination, I hope you are right.
In a piano duet the two musicians need to have an intensely cooperative relationship. There is no lead and follow like with an ordinary pair of players, the two both have an equal and balanced role.
Translating the concept into a sexual relationship suggests to me two men who are not just fucking but actualy making love. Sounds nice.
