No, it's not the Flatiron.
It is the building that from 1905 will become the headquarters of the New York Times.
The paper's owner, Adolph Ochs, also successfully persuaded the city to rename the surrounding area (then known as Longacre Square) after the newspaper, becoming Times Square

Thanks for the correction!!! I should have remembered that the Flatiron is a lot further south on Manhattan than Times Square.
