"Thank you" is supposed to be gesture of appreciation. As soon as it becomes a requirement in order to get something, it becomes more like paying a fee.
If I went to a lot of trouble putting together a video, and someone downloaded it, viewed it, and didn't like it, would I expect them to give me Thank You points? Certainly not. If you are going to have a system like that, call it something else. Call it "virtual payment" or "post credits" or something, rather than "Thanks", which should be something one person says to another when they feel motivated to do so.
