I'm not superstitious.
It's just that if something goes wrong e.g. on a Friday the 13th I jokingly blame that on the day but in reality I know that this could have happened on any other day too.

Two very important events:

On this day, in 1956, it was declared by the U.S. Supreme Court that declaring bus stations in the state of Alabama "segregated" was unconstitutional, this following Rosa Parks' refusal to give up a front seat and the march to desegregate busing by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On this day, in 1969, anti-war protesters stage a symbolic "March Against Death" in Washington, D.C. during the Vietnam War.

On this day, in 1982, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is dedicated in D.C. after a march to its site by over thousands of Vietnam War veterans.

On this day, in 2007, a guy in London named Andrew Stimpson was reportedly "cured" of being HIV+.

Celebrity birthdays:
Whoopi Goldberg is 54 today. :)
"Neverending Story" star Noah Hathaway is 38. :) (He's married to a SISTA y'all!)
