Top Gear?

If memory serves me correctly a couple of years ago they were about to cancel top gear so the presenters (except Clarkson), the producers and directors switched channels and started 'fifth gear'. Then top gear itself was rebooted instead with Clarkson presenting the new format with James and Hammond.
fifth gear definitely went more towards being an informative car show/ magazine whereas top gear went more down the entertainment comedy route. Both a great car shows but in different ways.

Right you are, AleXXX. Top Gear has been going since 1977 -- with a variety of presenters, including Tiff Needell (80s & 90s) sand Vicki Butler-Henderson (90s). It was rebooted into its current format in 2002 with Jeeza and Hamster on board. Captain Slow joined the following year when Vicki and Tiff joined the newly formed Fifth Gear.
