So what age did you move out of your parents place?

Me, I was 34.

I was already having started the process of moving out before I finished school. Don't know if the grammar's correct, it was a longer process.

Not that I ever really moved in as I was in boarding school, my parents in South Africa. I was 17 when I moved away from London to Brighton.

Moved out of the house at 17 for uni where they supported me until I graduated at 21.

I can half it - I left home when I started uni at age 17.

17, when I started college.
But now I'm back at the old family homestead. The last of the local family.

I started early.

I ran away from my alcoholic parents at the age of 15 and went to live with an aunt and uncle in another state. They were really good to take me in. I finished high school and moved into the dorm at college a month before my 18th birthday. From that time on I never lived with my parents and was on my own.

When I turned 16 my mother ran away, lol...

No, she didn't abandon me, she moved in with a friend that was dying to help with his care and gave me the house. I had a small trust fund from my father that paid the bills. I sold the house when I went into the service.
I rented my first and only apartment when I got out and stayed there 9 years.
My mother lost her home and was forced to move back in with me when I was 30 and I ended up buying a duplex so now she lives downstairs from me...

I went to college late (25) and moved out after I graduated 28. During my college time I did nothing but study, only came home to shower and sleep. I was determined to get a degree, get a better job and move out.
