Give me another 2 years and I can top it. Unfortunately I don't make enough to have my own place yet. I really want to but unless I get a better job or come across a lottery win it's just not happening.

I moved out when I was 12. My mom sent me and my older sister abroad for a better living and education

14. Had to go to live with my grandmother because of a wicked stepfather. No question of living with my father, he was too mean; the divorce was a godsend, no more money for wife or kids.
Years later, my mother, divorced again, thought she should be able to move in with and be supported by me.
My sister's situation was even tougher.
That's why I've always accepted divorce but been very doubtful about remarriage.

I was 22 when I moved out - mostly to get closer to school. I think I made more use of it as getting closer to the college bars though :).

Ha! I got everyone beat. I was 8. Yes, Eight!! Well, not really. My parents were killed in a car crash when I was 8 and I was moved into foster care. If you want to call them parents, then I moved out on my own when I was 13 when I had had enough of that life.
