If you're not aware of the epicness that occurred during last night's "Jersey Shore", you've must've been away from your computer or not watching. )
Last night, it was announced that this years MTV Video Music Awards would hold a tribute to the legendary pop princess, Miss Britney Spears.
On the awards show to air August 28, MTV will present Britney with the Video Vanguard Award, which is their version of a Lifetime Achievement Award. It is presented to those who have a profound effect on the MTV culture (of course, we're talking about when MTV was known more for videos than their shows). To know all that Britney has been through to this point, it makes the presentation all the more special for a fan like myself. I honestly don't have words for how proud I am of my girl, Britney. I've been a fan of hers since near the beginning (it took some time for "...Baby One More Time" to grow on me; truth be told), but I have always loved her. Through the good, the bad and downright hideous times, she's been there and I have followed her.
As a Britney fan, this is a purely prideful moment and it fills my heart up with emotion.
In truth, I'm not listening to one Britney song; I have a mix going at the moment (my iPod is hooked up to speakers and the "Britney Spears" section is going strong! :rofl, so this is what I'm listening to at the moment... but in truth, I'm just listening to Britney Spears. A LOT of Britney Spears. :thumbs up:
