Wonderful M/M rom-com two book series (Hopelessly Bromantic Duet) by Lauren Blakely features an American writer and a British actor who meet cute in London and carry on an an-and-off love story for about 10 years in ways that will surprise, tenderize and please you--with a couple of stiff nods along the way. Lots of fun, lots of between the sheets, lots of cheeky stuff.

Two outstanding series, "Dr. Maxwell Thornton Murder Mysteries," by S.C. Wynn, seven volumes in all, plenty of mystery and absurdities in a small Texas town and excellent romance and MM sex as well. "Have Body Will Guard" by Neil Plakcy, is a 13-volume whirlwind across many countries led by ex-Navy seal hunk and his schoolteacher lover, exceptional mysteries really good sex.

The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor--the Truth and the Turmoil by Tina Brown. Brown has been a royal reporter for 25 years and previously did a book on Princess Diana, who she knew personally. This book covers the last 20 years of the House of Windsor, focusing on the many struggles and sometime successes of Elizabeth II & Prince Phillip, Charles & Camilla, William & Kate, Harry & Meghan and Andrew. It is witty, critical, and sympathetic. If you want to know how things got to where they are today post-Diana, this is a good read. It goes up to Phillip's death, so it is very current including all the drama around Harry & Meghan leaveing. But it was published just before the Queen's death, so that is not covered, though it is anticipated.

Spare by Prince Harry. Interesting read. Not a sensational as the press reports: part story of two brothers, part coming to terms with the death of his mother, part rant about the press, part rant about living in a gilded cage.

I've recently been reading Glenn Chandler's book The Sins of Jack Saul (Second Edition) The true story of Dublin Jack and the Cleveland Street Scandal. (2016).

It's a good read about the two most explosive British scandals in the Late Victorian period, concerning male prostitution and male brothels (the Dublin Castle Scandal 1883-84 and the Cleveland Street Affair 1889-90) and a fashinating young rent boy who appeared in them both: Jack Saul, born in deep poverty in Dublin 29 October 1857 and passed away in tuberculosis 28 August 1904.

But Jack wasn't just a rent boy who had sex with horny lords, military officers and high ranking civil servants - he also wrote what could be called one of the first gay porn novels, The Sins of the Cities of the Plain, published in 1881.
I am actually reading the mentioned original from 1881 (it is available eg. on Project Gutenberg). Language hasn't changed much to these days, so it is readable OK in 1881 English. It seems to be somewhat "gay version" of Lady Fuckingham, COOL
