This thread reminded me of an aphorism, very beautiful for me, who I want to share with you:

"there are many people who think they know, even if they have learned nothing"

Today I learnt that me being "older" Parkinson's patient with more experience with living with this can be useful when talking with those who just got their diagnose. I can give them support, advice and the most important, I can show them it is not the end of the world.

Very positive attitude! You should always try to find the best possible way how to use what little you have!

Some people think: "nobody helped me when I was in need, so why would I help others?"

I see you're not one of them! :)

In the short time that I moderate I noticed that we have enthusiastic members. They put a lot of energy in posting and sharing stuff. But unfortunately they forget thereby too often to invest time in learning the forum rules. With the result that we as team of moderators have to intervene as referee, because that is our function, see to it that the game is played following the rules. The effect can sometimes be displeasure and anger. You can compare it with a soccer game. You need a referee to play the game. And sometimes the referee makes mistakes, but that is normally only a fraction of the errors the players make. To avoid misunderstandings and dissatisfaction it would help a lot that not only the referee, but also the players know the rules.
