u know full well that its just a glitch and it will be back very soon
but u start to instantly worry and feel left out from not being online anymore, even if u didnt want to go online u suddenly feel ur missing out and need to get online...

for me i try to relax, sit back and put something on the tv but i do find melself checking now and then if the green light is back lol

I can't recall my DSL line ever going down. Been online since 1999 and I honestly can't recall there being no service. But if it did and I needed access I'd hook my laptop up to my cell phone. I used to do this all the time when travelling but don't need to so much now. (Or possibly just check around and see if there are any unsecured networks reachable. )

Before getting a smartphone it was a chore to surf using a cell phone directly - so tethering the laptop was superior. But now as smartphones are common, why bother?

other than that i go for my video game, or read a book perhaps.

I have internet through telephone. And because my house is far away from the civilized world, it is very slow. From the point where the telephone cable enters my house, there are another 30 meters of cable to reach my computer. Technical a lot of reasons for my internet to go down. Last week again. For days no internet. And:
When my internet goes down I get NETTLED!
So I made a total rearrangement. Guided the telephone cable under the roof tiles and saved 15 meters in distance. It seems okay now.
