What happened to PimpAndHost?

Is a long time since PimpAndHost works bad, very bad.

Slow, often does not finish loading the images or do not appear at all.

This problem occurs during all hours of the day, so it is not overloaded or otherwise.

I will have to switch to another host.

What other hosts do you recommend?

I'm using Postimage.org since its the only one image hosting that 'friendly' with my mobile phone. Mostly the others cant give me the link that I needed or its taken much time.

If the above is true it's very worrying!

I, along with all my fellow mods, have done our damndest to keep any child porn away away from here, which has at time resulted in legit pictures or videos being removed because we can't always be certain, but we always err on the side of caution.

Not one member of staff here has any interest in child pornography and I condemn it to my last as sick & depraved.

If I find any solid proof that anyone involved in this forum is running anything like that I'm gone !

Until I have that proof I'm taking this as internet gossip. The problem with picture host companies they don't have the resources to check everything a private individual uploads, but I'm quite sure to my knowledge that this is the case, if it turns out to be more serious then I want nothing more to do with this forum or any associated links.

We have a great community here of wonderful individuals and it would be a very sad loss to many people if that was the case!

I use FotoShare.org, since it's super fast,user friendly and it's the same as PicSpy but better, the only thing i had to do was register for an account on that site before uploading, but don't worry it's free, I used to use Pimpandhost and PicSpy but they are are no longer working anymore, my male models blog now only shows some of the pics instead, hopefully when Picspy works again i can get all the model pics i uploaded there and re-upload them to my new host :hug:

A moderator told me that pimpandhost servers might be overloaded.I still cannot see some images and they are slow to load. When trying to see them in posts here it slows down the page with messages in the corner saying 'waiting for filesor.com'

To try and find out more on this I googled filesor.com and found this,

pimpandhost.com filesor.com and gayheaven.org are all listed as sites under investigation so could it be that some are being overloaded or hacked and this is why all the problems.

I hope it is not true what they are saying about the child images and even sites. :no:

My decision is not to use pimpandhost.

Without question if this is realistic and actual evidence supports this, it is unacceptable. I would be gone in a heartbeat. Regardless of how often any MOD is here to check the posts, I am certain that no one among staff would ever condone such a post.

But, let's take a step back and wait for something other than conjecture. As a member, you can be assured that this staff will do everything possible to never allow under age material here! This forum has so much more to offer for social purposes and I encourage all of you to be a part throughout the forum. Have fun, make friends!

Let us not forget that there are forces out there that do anything to discredit sites like this one. Many share sites are based in countries that do not have (strict) anti-share laws and therefore cannot directly be tackled by the anti-share forces. But most of these countries do have laws against child pornography and mentioned forces may try to get at them via that route.

I believe that Absalom had hit the mark.

This forum from very bothersome to competition and those hosts that have been rightly banned.

As in any large family, is not excluded that there is a few bad apples,
but it is up to us to make sure to isolate them, thanks to the careful and valuable work done by Mod and Admin.

I use PimpAndHost since long time and am very satisfied with this picture host .... problems? never had (it's not the first time that one complains about this host) and a host can be overloaded ... patience and try again.
I'm the most satisfied of UpLoadHous (you can choose from several sizes and a multi upload while PimpAndHost adjusts too large photo's ,what sometimes lead to unhappy results.
O yes, and as for unacceptable practices such as child pornography: on PimpAndHost I have never heard mention of, a few months back was a report of UpLoadHous with "illegal" practices,
the perpetrators where removed and they promised an investigation to identify the perpetrators were.

I almost always use postimage.org, not pimp and host so I can't actually say if any particular site is better than pimp and host. All I know is that half the posts around the forum lately see to only have little blue icons with question marks where pictures should be and they were all hosted through pimp and host


some of the recent issues with P&H also have to do with the forum being hacked as P&H is part of the networked owned by the same person who owns this forum so it most likely was hacked too. (Voyager)

I recommend using Postimage.org :thumbs up::thumbs up::heart::heart:

Been using them since switching from PimpandHost. P&H have really gone to the dungeon with poor customer service. I posted my concerns and displeasure in their complaint-forum regarding their slow response time to rectifying glitches and the next day discovered they had deleted my entire photo folder without warning. :angry::angry::devil::devil: They seem to favor a "Take It or Leave It" attitude.

Looks like PimpAndHost are using Cloud Storage now. So if main site is down, the images are still cached elsewhere. Unable to upload new images, but for places like this (GayHeaven) who use PimpAndHost to show images..... this is BRILLIANT news
