So sorry ... but I wish you and your team for Sunday all the very best!
Well we annihilated the USA so unless something utterly jaw-dropping happens between the West Indies v. Sth Africa we should make the semi-finals. So my wait is over - I see on the BBC Sport website that your clinch match starts in an hour.....

And the "clinch match" just is over. Puuuh what a fight and the salvation in the last minute. But I have said before: Switzerland will be a hard opponent. Nevertheless: 1 : 1 and the first place in the group is our! Let's see who will be our opponent in the last 16.
Finger crossed again that we will manage that game next Saturday in a good matter and with a win.

Congrats to your team and best of luck for your semifinal!

So you see that both of us have made a good part in our deal!!! :p

Recently I moved into a new place (which turned out to be way more stressful than expected because everything that could've went wrong did), but it's almost over. I'm 95% unpacked and the leasing office/maintenance team has finally fixed all of the issues I noticed when moving in. I finally feel like I can relax and enjoy the new place; which is super cute.

I finally have electricity again after Hurricane Beryl tore through my area. 1 week without AC was rough. I had a generator to run the fridge and freezer, fans, TV, and modem. I could only get on the PC for short periods of time as the PC overheated very quickly. I am happy to once again have AC and to be able to spend more time on GH.

Horrible these Hurricanes. I hope so much your home has not been devastated. In this connection I'm really very happy to live in a part of this world where Hurricanes or Tornados are very seldom. We have no earthquakes only from time to time heavy rainfall.
Be happy that it is over again!

You pay a price to live close to the sea and have semi-tropical weather.

We're on day 4 of an unseasonably cool front and I've really been enjoying it. Instead of our usual 100+ degree (F) temperatures, we've been staying in the mid-80's with off and on showers. Feels like an early Fall preview. lol

The pair of breeding swans on the section of river close to where I live usually have 6 cygnets, once they had 8. They have suppassed themselves this season...

This pair seem to be good parents and usually most of their young make it to adulthood (I think they lost one last season, either taken by a cat when still very young but even when they have grown a bit they are not safe from foxes). They were very close to the river bank when I went over the bridge but when I got the 'phone out to get the photos Mum and Dad got very protective and started hissing at me to keep away before one parent led the brood back into the middle of the river as the other parent stayed on the bank between me and them.

I have seen them a few times since but from a distance and was pretty certain all 10 were still okay. This morning I had one of those "right place, right time" moments

This might be a simple pleasure, but I'm so happy to have my car back. It was having some transmission issues and after 3 weeks it's finally back. I'm very thankful to live very close to lots of stores and shops so I'm only a 10-15min walk and didn't have to do without much, except was itching to go to Target (too far for the last 2 weeks). LOL

Aren't simple pleasures always the best? I think so. And so I am happy to have breakfast soon! :)

SUNSHINE!!!! Here in the UK most of us have been covered by a permanent thick grey blanket of cloud for the last 10 days with NO sunshine at all but today we have blue skies and lots of much needed and appreciated sunshine.

Well in my part of Sweden, the situation is precisely the opposite. Today and yesterday it's been totally gray and cloudy and we had the first snow yesterday night, not much but the first for this winter.

But before yesterday, we've had very many days of sunshine, blue sky and relatively warm.
