What makes you happy today?

My first social security retirement check was direct deposited into my checking account and even though you pay into it I got to say it feels great getting money without busting your ass all week to get it. I hear people complain about the feds and Social Security a lot but I have to tell you I found the people I dealt with to be great, very helpful and very efficient, as well as very friendly. I guess maybe I am so happy about the experience because I was dreading the process and even waited longer than I should have out of dread of how unpleasant it would be.

30 years ago in spring/summer ur car windscreen was littered with insects, but nowadays?..

I now am an official kitten bottle feeder.
The animal charity I worked for before I retired has gotten endowed to open up a Kitten nursery with a bottle-fed ICU. I am going to do two 10 hour shifts a week on the overnight shift. My husband works the night shift so this will give me something good to do with my spare time. I will also get paid in veterinary vouchers. I am happy because this area has needed a kitten nursery for a long time and with as many cats as I have and rescue I need the vet vouchers.
