Got an official start date, for a job, coming up in a couple weeks after already being hired for three months. Took so long I thought they didn't choose me!
Just returned from a gorgeous Gospel Concert in a church in the city. It was marvellous and just in the moment both of us we are totally to bounce off the wall. (And perhaps he will be ready now to bounce a little bit more??? - )
Great songs and we all together have been too a choir! Super!
I hope you got all the "bouncing" of all sorts you needed tonight...
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
I got it and I could see "all the saints go marching in....."
Great!!! :thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up::cheers::rofl:
(I'm sure that when the evening was over, your voice sounded like a German version of Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong )
Great - from Monday until January 3 my office is closed. There will be only a standby duty at the telephone in case of .... (I hope nothing will happen!).
The last company I worked for always closed the week between Christmas and New Year but I came back alone anyway for half a day just to receive presents from suppliers. Delivery companies call ahead to ensure there is somebody there to receive deliveries. A quiet time too to scape crazy last minute shoppers and the din of carols playing everywhere, specially the Drummer Boy.
I fetched my 40 year old acoustic guitar from student times from my attic, bought new strings and applied them, downloaded an app to tune it (tuning fork with standard A [A = 440 Hz] ) I used at these times i found too)....
and registered to a guitar class beginning in march in the morning
...having time as a retired I am exited...:thumbs up:
You made the right decision. I think that's a perfect way to keep your mind active after retirement. Taking classes in retirement can also be a way to meet new people with similar interests and socialize.
Best of luck on your guitar learning journey!

The first major purchase I made when I arrived in Canada and found work was a Yamaha guitar. The shop allowed me to pay for it in three instalments. I have always been with a guitar ever since. That guitar is still around being played by my niece’s son. Meanwhile, I have moved on to progressively more responsive custom made guitars and in my seventies still finding interesting pieces to learn and commit to memory. Any musical instrument is a boon companion in old age.
