What kind of gay am I? I'm that type of gay guy that's very much involved in my community. November of this year I ran for in office in the city where I live, lost by 55 votes. I guess you could say I'm not the typical kind of gay guy that most would expect, I am a single father who has and is working hard to raise his son. I've revealed to my son my sexuality and I'm not ashamed. I'm one that I don't broadcast, but if you ask I'll tell.

My effeminate days are far behind me, although I do act up sometimes. I don't party like I used to and my days of one night stands are far behind me.

I'm the kind of gay guy who likes intimacy and passion during sex other than just doing it. I'm the kind of gay that likes spending time with my lover just talking and even watching movies.

Sexually, I'm the kind of gay who likes to tell my partner what I like and don't like as well as carry out each others' fantasies and freaks. Being that I'm the bottom, I seldom like flipping my partner. Not to say that we haven't done it, but it's not a regular thing, and I like it like that.

I'm gay, I'm a loving bottom, sometimes I'm bitchy and I'm a monogamous gay - I have my strong boyfriend whom I love so very much, but whom I sometimes drive into angry madness because of my bitchy belligerence. Me? Honestly, I don't know... Personality-wise, I've never been athletic, never really taken much interest in dressing myself better until recently (and they're based off guys that I find cute). I love games (big fan of GTA series), yet I've never been good enough to compete in multiplayers, and I'm pretty selective on the games I like. I'm mainly into pop(?) rock (Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, some classic rock), yet I don't like every song out there, and I can deviate to jazz, '50s music (Frank Sinatra), classic country depending on my mood. I like to collect models of cars, planes, guns, and other assorted memorabilia. And guns.....I'd love to learn shooting and hunting someday (strict anti-weapon laws here). Someone once said I have a deep voice (for someone my age and locality at least), and another once said that I'm not effeminate at all (evades his "gaydar" at least). Of course I wouldn't know that myself...... I mean I'd like to think so too, but how you perceive yourself is different from how others perceive you, I guess. I can get pretty emotional rather often though, but I tend to keep that to myself, because the last time I did that they told me to "stop acting like a girl".

Sexuality-wise, I think it's pretty much a "guys only" event. Though I still have this small nagging doubt that it won't last, that someday I'll "grow tired of it" and "go back" to being straight or something. Yet I've never really understood the appeal of women (yeah they're beautiful and brilliant and all, but that's about it), and straight couples kissing on screen bores me out (just get on with the show!). I think I'm more of a top (though I don't have any experience at all.... just that I tend to focus on bottoms), but I don't think I'm ever really that dominant. And I don't like older (relative to my age) guys, instead twinks to average (but boyish looking and generally hairless) guys around my age. I've never really discussed any of this to anyone though, to the point that when I came out to a friend, he almost thought I was asexual or something. I've never been to gay bars and clubs (and a regular club only exactly once), and I'm still pretty apprehensive about going there (though it still seems to me dating life outside of bars/clubs/apps is almost impossible). I've recently made some new friends, but their oversexualising at times makes me a little uncomfortable and worried (or maybe it's just my internal homophobia talking).

According to the Kinsey scale, I am a 4, meaning, 'Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual'.
According to myself, I am just a normal human being who definitely has the hots for guys, and sometimes maybe a tiny spark here or there for the gals.

So if I ever do have to label myself, I would use a term I have coined - Flexisexual. I am Flexisexual.
