Last night: Lars von Trier's latest: Melancholia

Character study of 3 main characters in the face of possible global annihilation by a renegade planet. That's the 2nd half; first half is about a wedding I hope I never get invited to!

See it if you love movies. Fascinating, slightly bizarre, visually beautiful -- typically von Trier! This would make him a household name in the USA if only it had better distribution. Truly international cast, in English; don't think there are more than 2 actors from any one country.

Usually an "All-Star Cast" is the kiss of death, but these are serious actors (Kirsten Dunst -- who knew?) doing serious work.
