On February 13 was the 75th anniversary of the total extermination of the city of Dresden by the British Air-Force Bomber Command. You can compare this bombing of an unprotected city with the extermination of Rotterdam in 1940 by the German Luftwaffe.

But this was for us the reason to watch an older German film from 2006 DRESDEN. Believe me it was a horrible film but how much awful must have been the reality!

I hope so much and from deep of the bottom of my heart that never again such a horrible insanity will ever happen again! Such films will make us clear what we today live for a beautiful life. And because of this such films shall make us humble!

Hi Jase could you tell a little bit more about this film. Is it a film worth watching? I would be happy to hear from you.

Sorry for such a late response, I really liked it... but I don't think it's a film for everyone.

Basically, it's a comedy-drama (satire?) film movie based on Christine Leunens's book Caging Skies. It's about a boy (Jojo Rabbit) who's a Hilter Youth member who finds out his mom is hiding a jewish girl in the walls. So it focus's on him questioning his beliefs with his imaginary friend, a silly version of Adolf Hitler.

It has a good mixture of funny, serious, and sad. I think it's a really good movie.

And the last I saw was Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Thank you so much Jase for your kind answer. I've asked because I'm always a little bit mistrustful toward such "comedies".

Lucy - So what do you need to know? It's from the mind of genius Luc Besson, and if that wasn't enough to recommend it (and it should be enough IMHO) - it stars Scarlet Jo and Morgy Free and Choi Min-shik (who starred in the fecking excellent Oldboy - the original Korean masterpiece from Korean director Chan-wook Park.. not the shitty Hollywood re-make!!...mmm I wonder what I might be watching tomorrow???? ;););)
