'Sorry We Missed You' is Ken Loach's follow up to 'I Daniel Blake' and is similarly filmed entirely on location in my Newcastle and a dramatisation of events taken from real life. Just like his previous film, this too is utterly convincing because these actors are not really acting, they are just reflecting their own reality.
If you ever buy stuff off the internet, it is men like the one in this film who bring it to your door. Poor bastards who work all hours for hardly any money only to be treated as less than human, something disposable.
The title comes from the postcard you get telling you they couldn't get an answer and the parcel has gone somewhere else.
