I just found this band a few months ago: Yaz... or Yazoo... great 80s-ish gothic/grunge of a band... Listen to Midnight... That song is amazing.

Yazoo are fantastic - been listening to Alison Moyet (lead singer of Yazoo) - her solo stuff is great too.
