I just watched the first season of "Criminal Justice," the UK miniseries in which gay actor Ben Whitshaw gives an incredibly powerful, moving performance as a young man traumatized when an innocent night out leads to him being falsely accused of murder and being run through the corrupt and cynical injustice system. The writing is phenomenal, and Ben Whitshaw wasn't afraid to show his naked body either. Downloadable from da!lymot!on.

I just watched all of "The Thick Of It" on Netflix.

VERY VERY heavy on swearing, but actually superbly good.

I fear, that like Yes Minister 30 years before, The Thick Of It is way too close to the reality of modern politics than any of us would like to think.
