Which File Host To Use?

Now with all the upheaval surrounding MegaUpload and the new policies with FileMonser and Fileserve, which file hosting company are most using?

I see a lot of ORON but I have read all the negative posts on here about ORON and even when I tried to join as a premium member from North America, it seems really difficult. They don't accept PayPal and they don't accept credit cards. And when you click to use one of their resellers, all the resellers point to ALERTPAY based out of Quebec Canada. However, with AlertPay you have to mail a money order to the Administrative offices of AlertPay or do a bank transfer to get money into your AlertPay account which you can then use to buy an ORON premium account.

Seems like a lot of effort just to join with one file hosting company.

Isn't there one file hosting company we can all agree to use? This guy uploads with ORON, another guy uses DepositFiles, yet another uses bitfiles. . . .etc. . . and on and on.

ORON seems to have problems from all the negative comments.

Just wishing it were easier but I know easier makes things more of a target.

We are currently evaluating many hosts before we return to a definitive list of the only acceptable ones to use on the forum, but the situation is obviously quite fluid at the moment.

I am, by "principle" a free user, I have no paying account. I used for a long time RapidShare - it is finished! Now I content myself with HotFile, and as well for my files there up as when I download on HotFile, I have no concerns(marigolds), on the debit(flow) or the other one. What is certain, it is that I really have no regrets to have wanted never to be a paying user. But obviously, each makes what he wants according to his priorities...

I find FilePost impossible to use for free between the "interruptions" to the downloads and the hours you have to wait to try again, only to have another "interruption". I don't think it can be considered a free host any more.

Premium accounts: Fileserve, Extabit, Bitbonus (now uo to 100GB 30 days - No PayPal but VISA and others OK) seem OK. I hear that Hotfile has returned and is OK too. Rapidshare, being Swiss, gave the FEDS the finger and never went down.

Oron, well, we just don't know what is happening. I think they are dying. I have an idea that maybe it is i-files in disguise. Purely gut feeling. Logically the hosts are making a lot of money $10 to $15 for a 30 day account and probably will do everything ti hang in until the FBI decide to go after someone else.

Seems also that very little new stuff is coming out. Lots of compilations, mainly Czech, or just the same guys doing the same thing under a different name. Maybe the recession? A lot of production companies seem to have disappeared.
