Who thinks John Boehner should "go f*ck HIMself?"

He's Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and the top Republican office holder in Washington.
Yes, Boehner is a boner. But his problem is that he can't get the votes from his party to be reasonable. So he thrashes around, and acts like a boner.

Is he tanned? He looks more like a guy who's been a hard drinker for a long time. Florid face; heavy lidded.
We may not know who these guys are, but they affect our lives. I don't know the names of the Eurobankers, but if they screw up, it hurts people around the world.
Boehner and his gang could put the US back into recession with their antics. And much of the world will follow.

Then they raise all our portions for social security, and most of us will see a rise in our insurance, but they add a bunch or pork to the bill cause they know it has to pass.

Boehner is irrelevant. Unfortunately, and quite ironically, we could use a few more of him and less of the Tea Party. He is the last vestige of old school Republicans who understood the Art of the Deal. Even though he lacks the spine (or votes) to show it.
The bigger problem is the wide swath of midwestern farm country and southern America. These people are living in 1955. And they have philosophically boxed themselves into a corner, they live and die for ideology. Progressive change will not come easy.
It's hard enough that Corporate power and wealth has its hands around the neck of both parties. But the system is set up so the far right has leverage. And they use it. And they are far more willing to be ruthless about it than the Left. There are a few things that are as certain as death and taxes...
Everything changes.
Nothing is linear.
The thing that kills isn't the thing you're paying attention to, it's the thing you aren't.

He does have that Dean Martin look about him of a man who knows a good martini when he tastes six. Not that I blame him for working up a thirst, his is an impossible job, could you do his job? I'm sure I couldnt. The alternatives could be much much worse.

BTW - not sure if people know this, but when you become speaker you get to pick your gavel - Nancy Pelosi used quite a small and under-stated one, Boehner on the other hand asked for a really really big one - to the point of it looking comical. Am I the only one who wonders what he's compensating for each time I see him with his clowns gavel?
