In your position I could never do what you did. I read up to the part where you met him halfway and found out he lied about everything, and I thought "Great, at least you weren't at your place or at his place, so it was easy to break off." I was astonished when I read further and found you agreed to go back to his place. I can't believe you didn't simply say "Hey, thanks for wasting several hours of my time" and walk out.

OK, it worked out well for you, and maybe you don't care much about matters of principle like lying massively about almost everything. I would have said Fine, he deceived his wife; he deceived me, there's nothing to suggest he won't deceive me again about something else, how can I relate to someone like that? plus the fact that by going with him I am giving tacit approval to the popular tactic of making up information about yourself, something that is the scourge of the gay online community. We should be encouraging honesty and punishing dishonesty.
