Love this thread so to bump it up here are a couple pictures of a random US City, Pittsburgh, PA. That would be the Alleghany and Monongahela Rivers which join to form the Ohio River. Pittsburgh was also the setting for the American version of Queer as Folk..

Her name is Lakshmi (named after the Hindu goddess of wealth,wisdom and courage) she is 4 yrs old and simply LUUVVS being scratched behind here ears with half a coconut shell !

I see a rope around her neck and a chain around her foot... I'd say she's a work elephant... poor thing

Yeah, she's a youngster from from a herd that work in the forest.. The chains are all loose fitting.. like an ankle bracelet.. only the adults are used for log moving duties etc... they are brought down to the river and you get to get in and help wash them ..awesome experience. Then they go back up into the forest...
