Am I the only one that keeps getting this error from Fileserve? Very strange 'cause I very very rarely get the captcha wrong. This has been happening for the past few days -- a pity 'cause Fileserve has been one of the more reliable servers for me. I hope it's a temporary problem.

I have been getting the same message for over a week now. I get the message even before I have chance to enter the captcha. It is so frustrating!!!! ~X(~X(~X(~X(~Xangry:

Not had that problem, but find in general these damn captchas a complete pain in the ass!
Depending which ones you use-some are worse than others- often you cant decipher what the letters are and keep having to renew the thing, until you get one you can actually read.
Time consuming and irritating nuisance!
if they have to have the bloody things at least make them readable!

If I'm not mistaken, fileserve is now on UK's IWF list. Probably need to use proxy to use Fileserve's services.

I've just spent a whole day going through a list of proxy servers and not a single one worked. :angry: They all take me to the Fileserve download page, but when I click the free download button NOTHING happens.

If anyone knows one that actually works please post a link here, thanks.

Mention kiddie porn and most ISPs will comply with whatever the IWF wants. Though even the IWF admits the tactic is rarely effective. So why do UK ISPs trip over themselves to comply? If they can use the 'war' on child porn as an excuse to block access to share sites, they'll do it. It cuts down on their traffic and costs. For them it's win, win.

There are solutions () but, jeez, they can be unpredictable. Mostly IP address changers. Mostly useless. Trial and error to find one which works. If you need to track down a decent software share site, PM me and I'll try to help.

I'm not sure of the rules here but I dont think it would do to give out any URLs.

Fileserve hasn't been working in the UK for about 3-4 weeks now, it's very annoying...Nobody seems to have found a workaround yet.
Filesonic still works fine for me [fortunately].
