Your Thoughts on Sagging

So seeing is my boyfriend just walked past with his jeans halfway down his butt I thought this would be a good time to toss out there what you think of boys that sag their jeans showing off their underwear. I've got two questions:
#1) How low is to low to be sagging?
#2) How old is to old to be sagging?

#1) Personally I don't think there is a too low to be sagging. It's not like the guy that is sagging is showing off his bare ass or anything. The guys that I know that sag, boyfriend included, still wear their underwear up to where it is supposed to be. I think it is insane that there are actually town out there that are trying to make sagging illegal. Good luck with that one I say. For the guys that live in those towns I say if they get in trouble sagging they should just go around town in a skimpy Speedo instead. I'm sure there is no law against that one. It's all about what "adults" think is unacceptable dress. To those guys I say "well, back in the 20's it was "inappropriate" for girls to show their ankles in public". So get over it! Have you seen that there are jeans manufacturers that are actually making jeans that "look" like you're sagging? Try making those illegal. LOL  Hey, as long as they are not actually showing bare ass, sagging is cool with me. And depending on the guy I probably wouldn't mind seeing some bare ass.

#2) And there certainly no age limit to sagging, though most teen to be teens and college guys. It all depends on how comfortable and confident you are about your body. I've seen some older guys, maybe 30s or 40s, sagging a bit and it doesn't look bad. But people shouldn't dress to impress other people unless you're going on a job interview, then you want to look good to impress. A person should dress how they want to dress, and dress only to impress themselves. You want to know who the most confident people are? They are the guys that are a little fat and overweight who go to the public beach, or pool, wearing a skimpy Speedo. Those guys you have to give a high five too.

OK, so now he is just walking around in a T-shirt and briefs. Love looking at that cute butt. :thumbs up:

So what's your opinion on it all. 'Cause it's not like they are going to stop anytime soon!~

Take a look at the photo below. Because that's what the saggy jeans will look like in 20 years.

I think it looks naff.

Subconsciously they are making a statement that they are not growing up. Often you see them with shoelaces undone and the like... same message.

Quite worrying when you think about it. It's fine if just a quick phase but not when you see them still doing it in their twenties and even thirties...

why wear pants when you wanted to show your underwear? better remove the pants and just go out in your undies.

The sagger look is over in my part of the world, when it was popular it generated an amazing amount of hate.
"Pull your pants up you're a disgrace.
I don't want you coming back here looking like that.
Have you got no self respect at all?"
Straight men felt threatened by the sexualisation of the male rear.
Straight women didn't complain. They are used to their butts being stared at.

I have never seen an attractive guy walk by wearing sagging pants. Most have been people who make me think he should have known better than to expose his dirty underwear and fat ass.:butslap:

I'm in favor of sagging, because when the alien invasion comes, the saggers will trip over their own pants and be the first to be eaten by our new intergalactic overlords. :)

When in elementary school, I remember that Mic Mac jeans came in fashion (at least in here:p) and almost everybody sagged them. It was the same time when crappy and childish Finnish rap took over with their simple rhymes and subjects fit, well, perfectly for elementary kids. I even then remember thinking, that it looked stupid. I was one of the few kids in our class who didn't bought the idea of sagging, but I did have a bit different music taste even back then:) So to my taste, sagging looks stupid even in ten year old kids:p

I think sagging most often is pretty ugly, but at the same time I really don't understand all the fierce anger against it; I'm like: "- You really don't have anything more important to do than scolding boys and youngsters for the clothes they buy and the way they wear it?"

My positive ideal? Shorts from about 1980, when shorts were really, really short.
And put them on a body like the body of Gene Anthony Ray!

I mean this guy could move and do some serious ass shaking! And of course, this multi-talented dancer, singer, and actor was gay.

Perfect answer there gorgik9! But that is all that any generation does to the next is complain about something that they don't understand. What will our generation complain about with the next one?

I wouldn't speak of complaining in all of the answers. If the threads point was to ask opinnions about somenthing, so people obviously tell their opinnion. Thinking something doesn't look good, isn't really complaining.

Reminds me of my shirt I had in school. It had a nude nun sticking crucifix on his private part on the front. I got some complaints about it, but I knew it in advance:rofl: But if one wants to provocate, then one has to go further than the generation before:p Sagging only causes questions like: Why? Does somebody think that looks good?
But who really cares? Some people obviously, but from them I would like to ask, that why do they care?:)

Part of the driving force for any good fashion trend is to set itself apart from the previous generation. No kid wants to dress like his parents, so you get trends like sagging. Sometimes the trends get more popular, sometimes they stay fairly confined to one group. So we see sagging mostly on younger skinny guys and it sort of works for them.

In some ways it's ironic - sagging makes a feature out of the fact that these guys don't have much of a butt.

Long before it became a fashion trend, the effect was called Builders Bum.
Tight belts are awkward if you have to bend and lift a lot so pants drift downwards.
