Do not become addicted
It's amazing how addictive smoking is. It is also amazing how bad smoking is for you. Often, only after a major health problem people can mobilize enough mental strength to stop. Therefore, please try to persuade your children not to become addicted and leave it by just experimenting a while with cigarettes.

No, I don't smoke. I have not even tried it and I don't want to either.
My mother smoked a lot when I was younger and I always hated the
smell of it. I had a boyfriend that smoked and it always filled me with
dread to kiss him because it taste so bad and I got awfully dry in my
mouth after.
Also, my asthma does not like it when a wall of someones smoke attacks
my face. I can't breathe for a couple of seconds, it is really unpleasant
when that happens.

Absolutely not! My dad used to smoke when I was a little kid. My sisters and I got him to quit though. We would always "exaggerate cough" every time he entered the room. We would hide and burn all of his cigarettes. We also snuck in articles (in Spanish) in his drawer about how second-hand smoking is for your children. He eventually stopped without any patches, gum, or medication. We're all really proud of him. He has about 10 years without touching nicotine!
