This is all rather trivial ! The last word is going to be mine here so no more please ;) Please hug and make up!

I'll close the post if it carries on, and I'm sure you don't want that ;)

Now, where were we.............

Tea isn't a drinky poo. A drinky poo means an alcoholic drink... saying tea is a drinky poo... is like saying herbal ciggys are on a par with real ciggys.
:p

I did reply to this but the forum collapsed on me just as I hit post - must have been something I said !

Can't remember what I wrote now but in the past it would have been beer, never drink these days so my "drinky poo" last night was neat coke :p

I never freak out - sorry if you thought I did. I too thought it was just a bit of fun. But as the new-comer here, I've been both put in my place and silenced. :(

I like the sweet drinks. You can drink them longer and they are less painful going down :p

Have you folks never heard of 'drinky poos'? A drinky poo simply means any drink with alcohol in it.

No, we don't use such terms in Germany.

And when it comes to alcohol... well I like mead, Pastis, Bailyes and Kilkenny.

Yes, I mean Irish Baileys ^^

And Kilkenny is a beer from Kilkenny ^^
It's the export variant of Smithwick's

I never tried pure whiskey, only whiskey-cola. And then it was Jack Daniels, which is, afaik US stuff ^^

What I also like is plum from asia.

you might like whiskey too? Jameson is the best.

Each to his own, and I'll grant you it's a close run thing, but I'd rather have a 10yr old Bushmills thanks.... and if we are crossing over the water and changing the spelling then it would be an Isle of Jura

It depends on the season, in winter with snow and ice nothing is better to get warm inside then a shot of "Genever" (taste like Vodka), in summer a beer to stay cool but draft only, I dislike beer from cans or bottles so much!

I would have though a bottle of beer ('by the neck') is the better option taste-wise?

Never ! Especially English ale, that has to be draft. Most lagers tasted identical to me if I'm honest, it was just a question which was the least gassy, but they were usually better draft, except for certain bottled Belgium beers, but they're in a class of their own.

I don't know anything about headshop powders!! Sounds a bit scary. I'm too old for being in those places or situations , doesn't interest me in the slightest, plus I don't drink at all anymore anyway. Going out just for going out sake ceases to be important after a certain age so I miss out on all that fun these kids have these days :p

Women / girls over here often drink pints these days. It's so commonplace that it's no longer something unusual. When I was younger it was very rare.

That picture came from a book I think of famous look-a-likes in ordinary situations. I think there is one of the Queen on the toilet :))

Off with their heads !!!

Craggenmore, Laphroaig, Lagavulin (all with a wee droppie of water)

or

Crema di Limoncello

or

Pironi Beer

or

Henry Weston's Special Reserve Dry Cider

or

Ethiopian Mocha Sidamo Coffee (with a splash of milk)

or

Twinnings Earl Grey Tea (Black)

I thought I had a twin? Almost....

Hate Twinings tea and won't touch tea bags.

But, if you add Ardbeg Corryvreckan and a few other names to your list, our tastes would be pretty much the same - though no water (or ice) comes anywhere near my whisky. I like it completely unadulterated.

Oh and I like Lavazza (Red or Black label) coffee.

As for beer....English bottled ales can be spectacularly good but beer on draught in too many pubs and bars can be spectacularly bad. I'm a big fan of the slightly sweeter-tasting German lagers. Though why anyone drinks beer from a can is a mystery to me, it all tastes nasty.
