GARLIC mayo all the way. If I knew it wouldn't kill me, I'd probably just eat that on it's own and nothing else until I (extremely prematurely) die.

Mayo or Catsup - depends on the fries

Little skinny fries - definitely catsup. But the thicker fries with more substance to them taste great with mayo. BTW I grew up thinking mayo on fries was gross, till I traveled in Europe and found it was quite common. I tried it and liked it. It hasn't caught on here in the USA--but we do have a few places that serve fries similar to the ones you get in the Netherlands and Belgium.

I like both Ketchup and Mayonaise but not together, for me it's either or, not both

Thats called poutine and its the national dish of Quebec. I actually like it too. There is one place near my house which makes it but they do it badly. Poutine is like pizza - there's a million variations. In Montreal you can get poutine in a roadside stand to the finest 4star restaurant.

I like vinegar with fries the best though.

Ugh I hate Mayo (I'm a Miracle Whip guy) so Ketchup wins by default. I did not know people put mayo on their fries.

Depends on the chip & how you cook it; for me anything from a fish and shop is unthinkable without salt + vinegar, but I never think of vinegar on a Macdonalds chip. I wold eat chips heated in an oven totally different from chips made in a chip pan.

Do you have black (or brown) sauce in the US or any country outside UK? That is nice on any type of chip.

One of the nicest things about going to Belgium is that when you go to the frietkot you have a choice of at least 20 sauces to put on your frieten.That is real choice and a sign of real civilisation, not some sort of tribal either/or thing. Friet of course being Chips in English and Fries bij various other anglosaxons.

That or a simple horn of chips with mayo and those teeny tiny silver skin onions they have there. The mayonnaise they have there is nothing like anything I've ever had in any other country, it's much tarter and yummier.
