It depends on how much you trust "official" film critics. rottentomatoes collects every review from all the big newspapers and then counts how many liked the movie and how many didn't like it. Then they give us the percentage. That's all.
So yeah, I'd say it's a dependable overview, though it doesn't work for every genre, e.g. low-brow teen comedy movies will always get bad reviews from serious critics, of course.
At least I would say I trust rottentomatoes more than IMDb. IMDb is perfect for infos and facts about the movies, but the users writing their reviews are mostly morons.

lol raisin don't be mean!! but yes I agree that Imdb is a perfect source for infos and such. I just wasn't aware that they provided movie reviews, I just check the local newspaper and base it upon myself after watching the movie.

I thought Burn After Reading was pretty dam funny, although I can see where others wouldn't like it. It reminds me of "Snatch" although Snatch is much better I think. But I think if you like Burn After Reading you would get a kick out of Snatch.

I sometimes use the DVD section of amazon.com to read film reviews. They are from members of the public and you can get several for each movie, differing - sometimes contentious too.

Watched "The Emperors Club" recently....Kevin Kline at his best ...also starring a certain Emile Hirsch and Jesse Eisenberg.

I loved watching the movie because of it's great colorful cinematography and the wonderful and sweet interaction between the two main characters, Roy (Lee Pace) & Alexandria (Catinca Untaru).
