What-To-Eat-In-March.jpg

I was a zealous consumer of avocado for years until this past winter when every fucking avocado I bought was bruised and deceased. No more avocados for me.

1918 Flu Pandemic Facts & Statistics

The 1918 flu pandemic was an unusually deadly influenza pandemic. Lasting from January 1918 to December 1920, it infected 500 million people—about a quarter of the world's population at the time. The death toll is estimated to have been anywhere from 17 million to 50 million, and possibly as high as 100 million, making it one of the deadliest pandemics in human history.

The pandemic mostly killed young adults. In 1918–1919, 99% of pandemic influenza deaths in the U.S. occurred in people under 65, and nearly half of deaths were in young adults 20 to 40 years old. In 1920, the mortality rate among people under 65 had decreased sixfold to half the mortality rate of people over 65, but 92% of deaths still occurred in people under 65. This is unusual, since influenza is typically most deadly to weak individuals, such as infants under age two, adults over age 70, and the immunocompromised. In 1918, older adults may have had partial protection caused by exposure to the 1889–1890 flu pandemic, known as the "Russian flu".

London's Post Office History

11th April 1855 - The first five post boxes appeared on the streets of London. They were green, rectangular in shape with a ball on top. London’s post boxes were not painted red until 1874.

Post Office Letter Box No. 1 was on the corner of Fleet Street and Farringdon Street and was 3 furlongs 213 yards from the nearest General Post Office. The others were located at The Strand, Pall Mall, Picadilly and Rutland Gate (Kensington).

Very high suicide rate for men but not so high for women. This is not the place to go in to all the reasons for the difference. At least remember this, women tend to ask for help when they are in trouble, men wait until it's too late.

This is true. We tend to overlook something and realize everything is fine till it get worsen.

If you have friends that shows sign of depressions guys, Don't ever make the feel left out.

One of my absolute favourite desserts is: a slice of pineapple on high quality vanilla ice cream and a crispy biscuit besides. And a BIG cup of coffee!!! That's sweet!!! :thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up:

But nowadays it's an impossible treat because of my damn diabetes...:(

Death Valley soars to 130 degrees, potentially Earth’s highest temperature since at least 1931.

In the midst of a historic heat wave on the US's west coast, the mercury in Death Valley, Calif., surged to a searing 130 degrees on Sunday afternoon, possibly setting a world record for the highest temperature ever observed during the month of August.

Climate change or coincidence? You decide. BTW, Death Valley is a great place to visit in the spring if there have been rains and the wildflowers are in bloom.
