Let the first one without sin cast the first stone...Ok biblical reference out of the way

This is a non issue to me. A man is only as faithful as his options, and in Tiger's case, he has unlimited options, because he has unlimited money...

and all of the sponsors that dropped him are really gonna be pissed when he takes his place back on top.

We as American's love a good scandal, especially if it involves the sin of infidelity, or drug use. This society is fucked when a man's infidelity is the first thing on the news, and recieving heavy coverage. I don't think the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal recieved as much press...

There is a whole other issue...

Why the fuck did Clinton get impeached for getting head while all the shit that Bush did barely made a blip on the attorney generals radar. Why was so much more time and money spent on investigating and prosecuting adultery (which is not a crime) than was spent investigating all the criminal acts committed by Bush and his administration. Are we really so sexually repressed that we believe a blow job is more serious than violating the Constitution ?

yes of course i was being outlandish...i know that clinton had way more coverage, but it's crazy how everyone of those so called morally together people were involved in some sort of scandal.

People need to know who we fuck is not news, unless we are news, then all is fair and none is private....

Of course women will be outraged about Tiger but he does not have alot of females buying his products, it's other men who can identify with an unfaithful man because most of them have been there themselves. "WHO CARES"

Yeah, this is just another one of those celeb stories that leaves me utterly dis-interested. He shagged some women, who cares. I feel a little sorry for his wife, but... well no more than I would for anyone else. Well a little less than people I know because I have no emotional attachement.

I never quite get the fascination with the lives of celebs. It's just normal life but with more money! If you enjoy what that celeb does, get a little obsessed, that's normal. But when you're watching their wedding without actually knowing who they are... it's a bit much!

So who is this woman who got so close to Tiger that he gave her a ring and two babies but she knew all along she couldn't change him and she didn't try but now she won the lottery?

Amen to that...and as Newage would say "Word"

I despise any coverage of celebrity scandal or their personal lives in any way...its irrelevant, effects my life in no way and I could give a shit. But, in Tiger's case, I am terribly disappointed.
I love golf...I play it, watch it, dream of it and fantacize about it and Tiger, who is my favorite and billions of others favorite, is not only an incredible golfer but he was such a great role model for so many, especially kids, he immersed himself in many worthwhile social projects, didn't seek any controversy or expect any special treatment or demand the spotlight, and he seemed to be such an ideal gentleman, husband and father. So, for this to happen, and to the extent its happened, its really disappointing and unfortunate.
I'm really not into cheaters and despite all the reasons why he could or would do what he did, it just doesnt matter. He will return, he will continue to be the best, and win the most money, make the most sponsorship money and I will continue to watch him when he does...but I feel for his wife and kids and I, for one, just won't have all that much respect for him...:(...another one bites the dust...

While i respect your disapointment in him , i feel as though celebrities are put upon this moral pedestal that they should not be put upon. All humans has their fault and when someone is already great at one thing..ppl are too quick to expect them to be perfect. The more we expect from great athletes the more disapointed we will be. THough on a side note i was not aware of his social efforts. I do however know that the black population (especially for the kids) iconize him ALOT! But in a way i think it is also important for kids to realize people make mistakes in life, but its what they do with it that matters.
pardon my rant...

I understand how you feel, Newage...and ranting is good...lol. Being so intimately involved in golf for so long and seeing someone so much needed to step forward to take the game to new heights (the pressure for sure must be incredible), I never saw Tiger as a celebrity nor did he ever want that label...thats the difference...probably it didnt matter..he was subjected to all the same shit as anyone else as famous but still, for me, he wasnt a reality tv show dude, or someone who made sure his name was always on the front pages...he was just Tiger....And his work with young kids, kids in the inner cities, kids of color, no matter what the color, was and is so important...but yet, its hard to teach a boy whats not right than what is right.

ahh i see, however i also think kids of today are so heavily shielded from the truths of the world......im sorry to say i don't believe in the whole its hard to teach a boy whats right and what isn't...it becomes definitive clear as they grow up...many just choose to ignore it.....then again maybe im just a special case.

as devils advocate....He's the greatest golfer in the modern era - most likely EVER! He's made a BILLION $$$$++ playing this stupid Scottish game (no insult to my Scottish buddies:)
Yes - he has a wife and has produced children to whom he is responsible financially. This won't be a problem. He's insanely rich. His marital status has no bearing on how he plays golf. He's decided he wants to bang a lot of other chicks? SO WHAT?? That's his business! His family will be financially well-provided for and he will return to golf and dominate for another 10 years....the ONLY ISSUE in this is the tee-hee gossipy element to it all...and THAT will pass.

brnstn69 can you elaborate more on what you had said about adultery not being a crime? Now is this based on not being illegal or the morality of the situation? I just wanted to know you're opinion on it.

George Burns had a 30 year old girlfriend (or something like that) when he was in his 90s didn't he. I doubt it was his body she was after :p
