I fetched my "Chica" yesterday from the breeder family, a brown mold as my two ones before, examined breed with high potential, now there is life in the house, but having the third one I am relaxed to train her and having a good (hunting) companion....
Good it is allowed to travel in germany for getting working dog puppies by strict observance of physical distance
and only one to one contact.....:cheers:

I'm so happy for you!!!:thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up:

You'll soon be hopelessly in love :heart:

mankind... manhood is something different.

My dictionary says:

manhood [archaic] [state of being human] Menschheit {f}

manhood Menschentum {n}

mankind Menschengeschlecht {n}

So, where is the problem?, I think people understood the sense of my post, but thanks for correcting:)

archaic... in the Duden it would say veraltet. A term no longer used in this context.

Members of this forum have varying levels of experience in the use of the English language. It would be a shame if any member were to feel reluctant to join in with a discussion for fear that his choice of words could be subject to mockery.

Total correct Peter - everyone here will have understood what you wanted to say. And my opinion is that know-it-all-attitude and ridicule (trifles and trifels!) never will be a good advisor. Many of the members here on GH are not english native speakers but all of them try their very best to make themselves understandable and again my opinion: no one here or wherever will have the right to point-a-finger condescending to another person, who is not totally firm in the English language!

yaeh, but i think that people who use English as a second or third language should be open for corrections (?) from people who know English better. learn and live (or conversely: live and learn ;) i'm not sure). i'm open for every suggestion of better word or expression. this way i could improve my vacubulary ;)

You really have a very clever and very grown-up partner. He loves a MAN and not a baby! :thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up:

Here in the UK a Capt. Tom Moore decided he wanted to help raise some money for the NHS charities. He is 99 (his 100th birthday is at the end of this month) and recovering from a hip-replacement and skin cancer. He decided to do 100 "circuits" of a 25mt loop in his garden with the help of his walking frame, doing 10 laps a day, and said it would be great if his challenge raised £1000. He completed the 100th lap today and as to the £1000 target - well he did a little better than that. Six days ago the money raised had already reached £9000 and the money keeps coming in. As of about an hour ago the total had got to over £14 million !

Amazing! Captain Tom is an example that we can all do something to help out in these troubling times, no matter what age we are. Besides being a brilliant man, he also showed society that elders still have a lot to offer society! A point often overlooked by many today!

Absolutely. Latest update - BBC now reporting that total has reached £15 million. At this rate I can see it being over £20 million by the weekend
