I just don't get what Hand-Gel does for you that couldn't be done with ordinary soap and warm water? Washing my hands real carefully with soap and hot water several times a day, that's my method.

It's totally ok to wash your hands with soap (soap destroys the coronavirus) and water! I wanted to buy online some other items you need on a regular basis...

It's more for when I'm away from the house....

… although the way the restrictions are escalating in a few days I might only be allowed to leave the house once a week to buy bread and milk etc!

Prohibiting people to leave their homes seems to me a very bad idea since taking a long walk is probably when you have the least probability for getting infected. And you're not infecting anyone else either...

Anyway - take care guys!!! :big hug:

today i bought 1l of disinfectant. delivery (250 bottles) was at 11 AM, i was on gas station (my friend called to me that the disindecant is available) at 2 PM...and i bought one before last. the limit was 1 bottle per person... in Poland it's a very huge problem to buy it.

edit: sorry for mistakes but English is not my first language ;)

Well for one thing I got up this morning and checked my temperature as usual - still no fever or cough. :):)

Secondly, guessing that the UK lockdown will get tighter in the next 24hrs I thought I'd better get my haircut (it was overdue as it was, and I didn't fancy a few months growth if I had to wait until maybe July/August... and I didn't fancy buying clippers and doing it myself either!!) I was kicking myself for not thinking about this last week. So I went to my usual place -Closed, tried a few others - all Closed but then I found a Turkish Barber still open - sorted!!

Great you're still OK with no fever or cough - just like me!

And I'm going to get a haircut in a couple of hours - obviously we're thinking a lot alike ;)

I think we're gonna start to appreciate the little things (like toilet paper f.e.) in life a lot more once this is all over...

btw, in 1982, $33 million was spent advertising toilet paper!? :p

Some of the hairdressers might have closed on "health/safety" grounds but others will have closed as (like the one I usually use) the staff all have young children and today in the UK is the first day of the enforced school closures so they are at home looking after their kids

I always go to a small private salon, just about 150 meters from where I have my flat, owned by a young girl on her own & she doesn't have any staff. But she's damn good at what she's doing and very nice to talk to!

Change the riverside???:eek::eek: I'm not quite sure I understand, but I guess there's some kind of sexual meaning - but I can assure you and everybody else that - speaking in words inspired by my great grand aunt Gertrude Stein - "a haircut is a haircut is a haircut is a haircut" and that "there's no sexual there there"!!! ;););)

(Thank you auntie - it's so convenient to quote this powerhouse of lesbian modernist literature sometimes  Now you go on to read the books of my great grand aunt - get going!!!)

I can't remember what it's like to go to a barbers. My husband and I have cut our hair ourselves since last century.
Oh lockdown, where is thy sting? We have each other, we need nothing more.

I fetched my "Chica" yesterday from the breeder family, a brown mold as my two ones before, examined breed with high potential, now there is life in the house, but having the third one I am relaxed to train her and having a good (hunting) companion....
Good it is allowed to travel in germany for getting working dog puppies by strict observance of social distance
and one to one contact.....

A new puppy  hasn’t just entered your home, it will soon enter your heart and stay there permanently. Congratulations. ;)
