Was waiting whole week to see my dear friend, but he had to cancel at the last minute. Had a rough week and was looking forward to it. But on the other hand the idea of the meeting brightened up my days during the week, so even though it got delayed it was still nice. So I'll just have to keep total lazy day at home, maybe I can bare it:p

Sorry I would like to say so much in some of these threads here and someone will probably think I'm gone forever - but a very bad cold has cought me. I feel like disgorged!
Well that is it what makes me unhappy - I hope to be back soon.

Thanks Peter - but if you think that things can't be worst - believe me it can. The last night I got a gastric flu. I feel horrible, my new beloved chair is the toilet bowl. Horrible - and to all this I really feel very weak. So I hope I will return end of the week - dear God please earlier! :?

I'm sad because one of our cats, Checkers, who is 15 years old is very ill and may be on her last days. She has had a good, long life but last year she developed some tumors that the vet removed but it had gotten into her lymph nodes and spread. Now the tumors are back and much worse than before. Her prognosis is grim. Managing her pain and trying to keep her clean and comfortable is all we can do.

My partner is beside himself. She and he have a close bond. It's sad. Very sad. Sorry to bring you guys down but the name of this thread is 'What Makes You Sad Today' so...

Checkers closed her eyes for the long sleep today... just about an hour ago...

She is free from her earthly binds but still in our hearts...

So, so sad

The fact that there are at least 3.5 billion men on this planet and I can't find someone to love makes me sad everyday :)

Spring depression. I'm not sure do they even have that in lighter parts of world? Every year, few weeks or so, when light starts to increase, nothing makes me happy. About 80% of suicides in north happens during summer, not during dark winter or autumn.

Just glad I remembered it. Few days just been thinking, that why I feel sad and cold, even though I can't think of any reason. Like all the emotion and passion from everything was gone, life just lost all it's meaning suddenly and I was starting to allready wonder that do I have some brain disease. Just glad I remembered.

Just opening up. I know how to handle this, by experience.

I myself thought it was only in Finland, but it's also in Sweden, Norway etc. About 80%. Thought, that maybe they had counted all people who drown during midsummer days fest as suicides. Brolly the most common misbelief is that there is a spike during xmas, but there's not. They just pass out on the snow. Man, my plan for coping doesn't include thinking now, and this is exactly the reason:p Cold robot mode till the body adjusts.

Maybe it's the increasing light during the spring time. It reveals all the dust and dirt that have been hidden away in darkness and now cruelly in front of our eyes. Sometimes things are easier in the darkness.

Thanks Whisper:heart: But I think it's in my case some sort of chemical thing because of the increasing light. It always takes some time to adjust. I can see the sun, and say to myself, it's nice it's shining, but I just don't feel it. And maybe there's somenthing hormonal too, like spring, mating season starting for us animals:p And my engine couchs a bit before starting:)

I did the same thing once. I stepped on a door threshold that was about 1 inch taller than the floor on either side of the door. My left ankle rotated at least 90° counterclockwise, I heard the ligament snap then the most excruciating pain shot up my leg to my brain. I fell on the floor and lay there for a few minutes before I was able to crawl to the phone and call for help. I was working a graveyard shift at a remote site and this happened about 5am. It took 45 minutes for the ambulance to arrive. My boss arrived a few minutes later to cover the rest of my shift. I was on crutches for 6 weeks. The Demerol was great but the real relief was from the steroid injections directly into the ligament but the pain of the injection was unspeakable, lol.

In the words of Bill Clinton 'I feel your pain'... literally.

Take care peter :)
