45s were small and had one song on each side, and LPs were the complete album

i still love vinyl or should that be..anal? hahahaha

Vinyl is a warmer sound, and all digital media removes the bits you don't actually hear, but you do hear !!

There was a case recently in a hospital for mentally ill patients. They played records to keep everyone calm and it worked. Eventually they changed to digital - CDs - and the effect was quite different. The patients could obviously pick up something in the records that wasn't there in the CD versions, so they went back to "old fashioned" vinyl !

Well I still have a fair bit of vinyl, not as much as some by any means, but it's nice to get the proper records out from time to time

It's more convenient, but not as special ! Used to love bringing down my boxes of old singles when I had guests round and we'd sit around playing anything at random. Just not the same asthetic quality putting CDs on or clicking mp3s.

no shit babe it was a..."happening" it was a whole evening of fun and I loved that stupid plastic hole to make a 45 play WTF was that about? they couldn't make it small like an album? hahaha

Your singles were different. We had small holes, but sometimes the centres were pushed out or if I had a US single I had to use the plastic adaptor.
