Actually I do like the seasons. But since I am aging my extremities protest. I have problems with my feet and my hands when its cold. But this morning I saw on discovery people who live in Siberia (in tents!) and they had no problems with -50 degrees Celsius. Those people who are in our opinion not civilized have my deep respect.

Who sais that they are not civilized?

Btw, are you sure it was Siberia? Sounds more like Mongolia to me ^^

Well, for my kind of weirdo who enjoys the darkness and star-filled skies... One of my most beautiful moment was when I was standing on the ice of the huge lake, the weather was sooo cold and the sounds the ice made, full moon rising... The moment was magical :)

Have you heard what kind of sounds the ice makes when it is getting even thicker? It is almost scary!

Guess who likes winter ;)

That sounds like a great moment...:dreaming:
I prefer winter too, but this weather is ridiculous! Here it has rained for almost all November, and now, like it wasn't enough, it's damn cold and it either snows or rains every other day!X_X
I'd have got no problem with that, if it wasn't for the fact that I've yet to finish the semester so I have to walk at least half a hour every day with a chilly little breeze, the kind that you almost don't notice until you are frozen...

It really was, I just wish I'd had my camera with me that night.

I hate it when it rains in winter time. The snow starts to melt making everything so wet and then the next day it freezes again. Trying to walk without falling is a challenge, especially if it's already snowed a little and the ice is hidden ~X(

I hope you don't freeze when walking, isn't the semester almost over? :)

Two weeks left, and probably an exam in January... It wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't so windy...
Walking through my courtyard without falling is the real challenge, just wet is a deadly trap, but once ice appears... :worried:
It has been snowing since last evening and now I have to go to some conferences... I'm shivering just by looking out of the window...

Yes, the wind makes everything colder. It has been snowing here too since yesterday, I just hope it wont get too warm.

*offers something hot to drink* Stay warm :)

Now it looks like it is stopping, but I'm not getting my hopes up... Luckily I had some empty hours between conferences, so I came home and got warm again...
Ice is starting to appear on the sidewalks...X_XX_X

Lucky? It's a p.o.v. problem... I mean, 20 inches of snow are car-blocking, but if you're walking you arrive soaked... With ice (at the moment is an inch max, still...) you walk around, but if you fall being wet is the lesser problem... My ass is hurting just by thinking about it...
20 inches of snow and it's snowing again?? Damn!

Our first snow of the season here in the Chicago area happened last night/today. Although winter is here, the first snow always comes as somewhat of a surprise to the senses.

Here in Europe it only comes as a surprise for the railway companies... all the others are expecting the snow ^^

It's not winter here! Summer has just started, and Perth has had the hottest November on record.

I love the hot weather - but the only good thing about winter is being able to wear jeans. In summer I move to shorts and speedos.
