It's snowing here, and I frigging love it. It's not as if it doesn't snow at all in Wales, obviously, but where I am is the geographical equivalent of an ass crack, and presumably that makes a difference, since it can snow everywhere around here within a twenty mile radius, and still we won't get even the most minute dusting. But today has been different, so I'm gleeful : D

Light snow here, damned annoying. It goes right through my shoes and freezes my feet solid >_<. I know I should buy new shoes but shhhh, I'm allowed to moan at the snow. Moaning is a great English past-time!

Worst snow I can remember seeing in my town since I've lived here. Most didn't make it to work today and there will be less going tomorrow. I'm not even going to attempt it the rest of the week !! It's going to be impossible to walk outside for the next few days !

Pretty to look at, and brings out the nicer more sociable side of people, but can't wait for it to disappear - whenever the hell that's going be. More to come at weekend apparently!

You don't get any snow there?
I'm surprised, I thought you did.
I have plenty here you can come play in.

They predicted snow for the next days... I'm looking forward to it ^^

Yeah, very nice if you don't have to go anywhere ;)

I'm still unemployed........ but when they invite me to a job interview when we have snow and there are no busses I have a problem...

We're getting our first real snow of the season right now. At the moment it's only about an inch deep, but we're expecting about 5 inches. I know it doesn't sound too bad, but around here people freak out at the first sign of snow.

I went to the grocery store to pick up a few thing for my mother earlier today, and my God, you'd think people were expecting a blizzard or to be snowed in until spring. It was packed and the shelves were emptying fast. People are actually stock piling food. The store was sold out of most snack cakes, microwave dinners, potatoes and onions and even in danger of running out of smoked whole hams :? I'm really confused as to why everyone was buying hams, I can only guess it's in case of a power failure, they don't have to be cooked to eat...

The bad thing for me is that I was covering my car windows with plastic so I won't have to spend an hour in the cold scraping them off before driving to work tomorrow, and slammed the car door on my hand, ouch!!! The good news is nothing is broken, just bruised and swollen and I'll probably loose a couple of finger nails, lol. It just hurts like hell, or it did before I took enough Lortab (Oxycontin) to knock out an elephant...

There's still snow covering everywhere here, but it's not actively falling any more thankfully! Irritatingly, there's deep snow still in the exact place where I want to go tomorrow >_<. Fingers crossed for some light sun or a massive magnifying glass appearing before tomorrow!

Well I had to go out today for an appointment and it was a grim journey on foot.. trudging through a foot (30cm) of freezing snow, with a biting cold wind. I did not enjoy it at all!

I'm using up some holiday. It's probably not going to be better by Monday but it's in the hope it might be :p

My job ain't life or death and it's not something I want to break a leg over - but that's the same all year!

It's one reason I ain't too concerned that I don't have a job yet.. staying indoors curled up beside the fire is not a bad plan! .. tonight will be the coldest night of the winter so far say the forecasters !... down to minus 20 or even minus 25 in places!! Brrrrrrrrrrrr!
