I would tend to disagree with your statement that Israel want's peace, or the Israeli government at least. They want control of the whole of the land, which is why they have just announced a new area of settlements to go in the West bank. The Israeli government might give the impression of wanting peace, but they will continue to chip away till they have removed the Palestinians from the land.

As far as "palestinians", namely the palestinian leadership, they are nothing more than arab islamic trash invaders. The ancient extinct philistines, whom they claim lineage to, were most like as i have read in my studies a Mediterranean people (i will try to cite my source on this soon) who inhabited the region temporarily. But, whatever the case, Today, there is no evidence of the philistine culture, language, customs, etc. in todays "palestinians". why? Palestine used the Jordanian code and there were no laws (and still are none) against homosexuality. Gaza used the Egyptian code and there were no laws against homosexuality in that code either. So the Zionist Entity was years behind.

I believe the Jews have no right to be in Israel as that land belongs to the muslims of Palestine. The Israelis are happy to defend as they have the backing of the American government as it is mainly Jewish money that runs and owns America. Unfortunately what happens in these religious wars is that innocent people and pawns get killed and not those who are ultimately responsible. There was a similar situation in the north of Ireland where the british army had no right to be there. This led to war and acts of terrorism. For my own part I am glad I lived in the republic of Ireland where most of us have no interest in war, terrorism or Northern Ireland and who it should belong to. Thankfully people are also turning their backs on the catholic church and its crimes meaning that people can live their lives and finally be free to think for themselves. You are obviously either totally ignorant of the of the persecution of the Jewish people going back to Greek and Roman times, the Spanish Inquisition and the expulsion of Jews form England or maybe you are just an Antisemitism. As far as the "occupation" of Palestine is concerned, have you ever taken the trouble to look at the reason. Before the 1967 Six Day War, "Palestinians" living on the so-called West Bank of te Jordan and were persecuted by the the King of Jordan who was responsible for the massacres of thousands of "Palestinians" and the expulsion of thousands more into Lebanon an this gave rise to Hezbollah!

Another point you might have closed you eyes to is that Israeli Prime Minister, David ben Gurion, asked the Arabs in the State of Israel to stay and be part of the the new Jewish State. Many stayed but many left and landed up in refugee samps on Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. The Arabs who did stay live in the the ONLY democratic country in the Middle East where they enjoy the same rights as as everyone in Israel and are Members of the Knesset (Israel's Parliament) Judges on the Supreme Court, senior police officers and some even serve in the Israel Defense Force!

Israel's Basic Law, our Constitution, guarantees the rights of Freedom of Speach, to hold demonstrations, freedom of religion and equality under the law irrespective of gender, ethnicity or sexuality!

Now look at Palestine where the Death Penalty for being a homosexual is on the Statute Books and again, you might not know that Israel, the country you hate so much, treats Palestinians who are persecuted as refugees and given them political Asylum. Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as other Muslim Countries, execute Gays and in Iran they are publicly hanged!

Yes, Israel does have a heavy hand but when an enemy, like Hamas or Hezbollah and fired thousands of rockets are missiles against the CIVILIAN population, be they Arabs, Christians, Druze or Jews, Israel does retaliate. After all, Hamas and Hezbollah, Iran's proxies,have publication called for the destruction of Israel and the Jews!

Israel has been accused by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and others of killing civilians and of War Crimes. Recently a report by Generals from EU Countries and the USA have stated that there is no more ethically orientated Defense establishment than the IDF. Regrettably, there report was totally ignored by the UN Human Rights Commission. One might wonder how many Jews and Israelis would have been killed if Israel had not developed the Iron Dome System and say 50% of the rickets are missiles fired by Hamas fallen on civilian, Maybe with Jewish and Israel Israeli blood flowing in the streets your hated of the Jewish State and the Jewish people would have been satisfied? A point to ponder is where are you and the others who hate Israel when it comes to the Syrian massacre by the Assad regime of the people of Syria? Some say he has butchered 250,000 people! You condemn Israel for the occupation but where are you with Russia are with Russia's war against Ukraine, the occupational of Crimea and no Gay Rights? Where are you with the brutal occupation of Tibet by China. You say that Israel has stolen the Arabs' land but what about the USA, Canada, Central and South America?

Hello Franklyn - I've read your post here and I want to give you an answer. I know you have answered to a post of Fatty. But I hope you will accept my answer.

At first: No one of us is free of any sins (not you or any other one) - and no one will throw the first or will throw generally a stone. And no one of us has the monopoly of truth.

As well in this connection I think you will not have the right to say to Fatty the following:

Everyone of us must be allowed to have an opinion if I will be a Jew, a German, a Christ or a Muslim. This opinion must not always be one you will love - but that will not give you the right to insult your opponent in a debate as an "Nazi". I think this word will always be used, if there are no more real arguments. And the same will be with the use of the terms of Auschwitz, Dachau, Treblinka and so on. Here now exist a new generation which is free from any conjunction to these terms (which not means that it is forgotten! - But you can't persuade this generation a blame! And if you will do it again and again - you will feel a pushback!!!!

So if you will argue with Fatty about his post, argue from today and not from nearly 80 years backwards.

And the things what happened on the Crimean or in the Ukraine or in Russia wasn't the theme in this thread!

And at last my opinion - I think neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis WANT a real peace. Both sides are so full of hate that I think we will not live to see that in this region will exist a lasting peace. And you know: Israel has had an Premier, Mr. J. Rabin, who tried to come to a peace treaty with the Palestinians - and he was killed, not by an Palestinian but from a hardliner Jew who didn't want peace!

As well you are lamenting the situation of gays in Russia, in Iran and so on - totally right what you are saying. But the situation of gays in Israel surely isn't a "Gayheaven" as well. In my opinion, the Israeli and the Palestinian people want peace, it is just that they are led by such powerful political groups which want war. The leaders on both side will settle for nothing less that all the land, so they will not consider peace. While the people just want to live with each other.
