Any treehouse of horror moment, but particularly the treehouse of horror viii take on the salem witch trials, “easy-bake coven”. the scene where marge is pushed off a cliff to prove whether or not she’s a witch is classic. mayor quimby says if she’s a witch she’ll fly to safety, if not then she will fall to an honourable christian death.

When Homer explains why they have no baby pictures for Maggie and we see that he uses the pictures to transform a sign hung by Mr. Burns that read "Don't Forget You're Here Forever" to "Do it for her"

I saw this last night where Bob stole a cell mate's face and tried to kill Bart at 5 corners and ended up jumping on a rake, lol.

Homer sells his soul for a donut and his head turns into one. Then at the kitchen table Marge tells him to stop picking at his head and he says "But Marge! I'm so sweet and tasty!"

Also when Grandpa comes to stay and the dog has a cone around his head, and Grandpa shouts "The lamp is running away!"

my most memorable moment is when bart fears being held back a year and wishes for one more day to study. he still fails but ms krabappel passes him. its touching.

As a watcher of The Simpsons from day one... it's really hard for me to pinpoint a favorite episode, much less a favorite moment, just because there's been so many good ones.

I'd say one of the most emotional ones (and yet very funny at parts) is probably the episode "One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish" in season 2, where Homer eats a deadly fugu (blowfish) at a local sushi restaurant and is told that he only has 24 hours left to live.

Needless to say, there's a happy ending, but the emotions leading up to that point are very powerful for a cartoon.

Recent episode...when marge decided not to dye her hair, and let it be..grey.
The three bullies saw her driving hurriedly and shout.."Go granny, go"..she reverse and try to run them down.

Also the one where it turns out Homer is a genius he just had a crayon lodged in his brain after sticking it in his nose.

Also the one where Homer becomes an "outsider artist".

i love The Simpsons! as i think i have watched every single episode from season 1 till current season 22, i don't think i can pinpoint one that i like the most but I must say Lisa Simpsons did a pretty good job on Ke$ha 'Tik Tok' spoof

Anything with Smithers dreaming over Mr. Burns is also very funny
