It's OK, not as good as I was hoping for, given that this is a Guy Richie movie. If you have watched the trailer you will get a feel for the vibe they were going for but with paper-thin characters and a weak plot which is pretty much "Go there - kill Nazis; move to next place - kill Nazis; and repeat" it's nowhere near as stylish or exiting as something like Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards.

THE WAY BACK (2010)

In 1940, seven prisoners attempt the impossible: escape from a brutal Siberian gulag. Thus begins a treacherous 6000-kilometre trek to freedom across the world's most merciless landscapes. They have little food and few supplies, but together, they must withstand nature at is most extreme. Imdb

This popped up on R@kutenTV and I had passed on it for a while. Then I checked thr trailer and realised it was directd by Peter Weir and it starred the likes of Colin Farrell; Mark Strong; Saoirse Ronan and Ed Harris so gave it a go. It is an incredible story, beautifully filmed but could have benefitted from some editing - it's 2hrs 12mins and a heck of a lot of it is of course just walking and walking.

Su-fucking-perb! I loved this low budget; zany; bat-shit bonkers; joyously silly; slapstick; live action looney tunes style; laugh out loud; wonderfully stupid, gag fest of a movie. And all done with no dialogue apart from grunts; screams and minion-style mumbling

Bill Nighy is in it and that should be enough. Add to that it's Richard Curtis rom-com. Rachel McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson star along with Margot Robbie; Tom Hollander; Rachel MacAdams and a cameo from Richard E Grant but I had to switch off after 45mins. Reviews I have just read say the second half is much better ( it's over 2hrs long) funnier but also devastating. Has anyone seen it and if so should I go back and take another look?

Jon Cena and Awkwafina star in this "comedy caper" don't know how much they spent on making this pile of crap but it was all wasted. It was probably 10's or 100's of $millions. I lasted 25mins but even that long was a struggle. Dumb, just dumb.

Interesting to compare this with the hilarious inventive gag-fest HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS which cost a mere $155,000 to make, and is a far better movie so I suggest you watch that instead.

Until ... and that you must watch for yourself. Very recommended

Don't worry - There is no dialogue! Just Ohhhs ; Ahhhs; Grunts and Minion-like mumblings. There is the song at the very beginning but the lyrics aren't important to the plot. It just shows the main character making a living selling his Appljack cider until the beavers damage his huge barrels, causing a fire and burning his orchard.

FORGOTTEN (2017) a.k.a Night of Memory and also Recall The Night .... no trailer because it's best to come to this knowing very little.

Jin-seok, 21-year-old, moves into a new house with his family. One night, his beloved brother is kidnapped before his eyes. After long silence of 19 days, suddenly Yu-seok returns home. And soon Jin-seok feels Yu-seok is a total stranger. Imdb

The first 45/55 mins of this Korean crime/thriller/mystery moves along ok as the initial plot developes then there is a big WTF? moment and things get tense and engrossing but the plot has still not finished messing with your head. A slick, intriguing, well directed gripping movie - atmospheric sound design too.

Just seeing the title you will be able to guess what's in the movie - CGI special effects; trucks driving in hailstones and flying debris: add some terrible dialogue, some poor acting and an awful soundtrack and that's Twisters. I mean I knew it would be pretty terrible so wasn't expecting much. It didn't reach "so bad it's good" but I did sit through to the end.
