I was intrigued by this gay themed cinematic release movie, and although Ruaridh Mollica is very good (as Max/Sebastian) it fails to keep it interesting enough.

GOOD BOY (2022)

Christian - a millionaire heir, meets Sigrid - a young student, on a dating app. They hit it off quickly, but there's only one problem: Christian lives with Frank, a man who dresses up and constantly acts like a dog. Imdb

This Norwegian movie is juat 76mins long. It starts off as just total bonkers then throws in a few WTF's. The reviews used words such as unsettling; twisted; creepy and fucked-up and it sure is all of those. I will only add one more......

THE APPRENTICE 2024
Surprisingly neutral, much milder than I thought it would be, but the film's subject still tried very hard to prevent you fron seeing this. Which is a good reason for you to make every effort to see this movie, just because you can.
Jeremy Strong's portryal of Roy Cohn, a man as evil as a man can be and then some, is outstanding, enough on it's own to make this unmissable.
You may remember Roy from the great series Angels In America.

If you will have real and good action-fun, you must watch this film. Brad Pitt and George Clooney really are gorgeous. It is a film where the time flies by and you don't realize it. Very recommended!

KNEECAP (2024)

When fate brings Belfast teacher JJ into the orbit of self-confessed low lifes Naoise and Liam Og, the needle drops on a hip hop act like no other. Rapping in their native Irish, they lead a movement to save their mother tongue. Imdb

This is different. I enjoyed this anarchic hedonistic crazy story. Based on a "mostly true story" it tells the story of Northern Irelands 1st Irish language rap-trio with the band, Kneecap, playing themselves. At times funny; dark but also heartwarming. Split between dialogue in English and Irish ( with jokes about subtitles)

A dumb, fun, and forgettable movie with a high level of gore and brutal bloody violence which ramps up even more in the 2nd half. Madds Mikelesen stars along with Matt Lucas chewing the scenery as a cartoon villian.

ALIEN : ROMULUS (2024)

While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. Imdb

I had got bored with this franchise but had heard good things about this one and I enjoyed it. It was a bit like a "greatest hits" of Alien & Aliens (in imho the only other 2 worth watching), plenty of jump scares and some impressive moments with our H.R. Giger acid-for-blood cuddly creatures.

THE INDEPENDENT (2022)

When I read the synopsis for this I wasn't all that excited but I grabbed it as it stars the always wachable Brian Cox. I should have stuck with my original thoughts, it's a by-the-numbers political conspiracy movie but not interesting enough for me and I gave up after about 45 mins.

BROTHERS (2024) ... no trailer due to actor age

This was ok, but given that it was written by Ethan Coen and stars Josh Brolin; Peter Dinklage; Taylour Paige: Brendan Fraser; Glenn Close & M. Emmet Walsh it should have been much better.

Since it's almost Halloween, I watched the original Final Destination movie. It was pretty good and not as scary as I had expected but did have a few uncomfortable moments. Haha!

I had been painting the ceiling in my kitchen earlier in the day and decided to switch this garbage off after about 15mins and watch the paint dry instead - that was much more entertainng

I nearly switched off before the opening credits but stuck with it for a bit longer. I think some aliens appear eventually but I never got that far.

After a long time again a movie, we've watched. Well, in the meantime we have watched some movies but no one from great significance. Just seen and half an hour later forgotten!
But this one here: I've read in the meantime so many reviews to this Kevin Costner film. Good ones, bad ones and damning reviews. I must say my verdict is: not good, not bad not damned, but something from everything. As I could read Mr. Costner plans 4 "chapters". So if you start to read a book - can you really judging the whole story after the first chapter? I say "No - Never". This 1 Chapter lastet for a little longer than 3 hours and sometimes it was slow pacing and than again really exciting. And yes, from time to time I've checked my watch. Nevertheless it was a very interesting story about the colonization of the West which will be honestly judged after the last "chapter".
