Well, Intergritas0, I cannot explain 'uncorrupted' bodies, nor do I feel the need (or the inclination) to try. I don't believe in pushing my faith at anyone else. My faith is right for me. I love mystery, and my life is the richer for its presence but I suppose I can understand how some people have to have answers to everything. I am quite comfortable with science and see no problem in science and religion sitting together. For instance, I am quite comfortable with the notion that my God (if we have to give my God a title) was the 'first cause' behind the Big Bang. I like the vision of a God who 'got the ball rolling' and then sat back (metaphorically speaking) and allowed the science to take over. I'm not an 'Adam and Eve' Christian. That, to my mind, is simply a story written by a primitive people to try to answer some of the questions of the day...ie Where do we come from; how did it all begin; why do snakes have no legs; why do snakes bite...etc

The trinity is an interesting one, I was awe-struck for weeks once i figured it out. The closest thing i found was in a video game Too Human, with the 3 NORNs/Norns But that was a shallow and simple way of explaining it.

Hmmm...all 'Gods' are man-made. 2,000 years ago we could have chosen to worship any number of gods from any number of different civilisations. All, mostly, now consigned to history. When will 'your' God become so forgotten? When will the very idea of a God become too ridiculous to hold on to any more? Will it matter? Why will it matter? Because some of us have a need to believe in something 'other' than what we know to be true?

If a belief in a God makes anyone happy, that's fine but I find it odd that it is even discussed at all in a forum like this.

Is there a major religion whose scriptures tell us their 'God' approves of us in any way? Is there a major religion whose scriptures don't dismiss us as worthless (mainly due to our failure to deliver new followers in the form of children)? Is there a major religion whose scriptures don't advocate having us punished in all manner of vile ways?

I find it hard to understand why anyone would want to subscribe to a belief system which fundamentally rejects us. That's true even of those fringe churches which appear or choose to openly welcome us. Ones usually attached to a much wider congregation which too often turns out to be very much less accepting.

But we homos are as varied and inconsistent as everyone else. We do things for all manner of reasons and, like everyone else, many of the things we do make absolutely no sense at all.
